: Years ago I had a round sore with blisters, about ther size of a half dollar on one of my buttocks. The doctor wasn't sure but fel it was a brown recluse spider bite, but it went away in about two weeks. Then years later, inthe same spot, I got it again. I saw a dermatologist who said it was herpies, I asked it iwas the STD kind, and he said who knows the way sex is done these days. I am single and had not had sex in years. Anyway, years later I am being allergy tested and I get two, one near the area before and one on the top of my leg near my bottom. The allergiest said it was shingles, from the stress of my taking all the testing for allergies. A shock my body was going through. he gave me some cream and they went away. I have had them several times, since and most of the time I can go to the drug store and get fever blister medicine and it clears it up. About a week ago, my right buddock hurt really bad, all the way through to my right side of my lower stomach. I limped when i walked and through out the day it subsided. But about a week later, here comes the sore, and it is a monster this time. It is the only sore and the pictures I see are lots of sores. Is this shingles? I am 57, and this has been going on for over 20 yrs off and on, but today it is really painful, more so. I just got over spinal meningitis, viral kind and was in bed for 4 weeks with 104 tempt and the works. I started a new job 2
days after I could get out. Is it due to stress, I wsant some solid answers as the doctors all tell me something else. Isn't herpes the same family as Shingles, Shingles sure sounds better to me. Can you answer me about the one sore and I may end up going to the doctor with this one as it is effecting my right leg, that is the side it is on and my back pretty bad. Vicki
