Q :  i have a rash, on the back of both arms, on each side of my waist towards my back and to the side of my 'wing's in my back. again, both sides, same places, could it be shingles.

Answer :

Hello Linda. Shingles (also called Herpes Zoster) is an angry red rash on the skin caused by a virus called Varicella Zoster, which also causes Chickenpox. The rash usually appears on the body in the form of a well-defined band. Another characteristic of the disease is that the rash always appears on only one side of the body: either the left side or the right side. Big fluid filled blisters can be seen on a red skin, most commonly in the stomach and abdominal area or on the face: near the eyes and nose. It is a very painful disease. It only affects those who have previously had chicken pox. The blisters feel just like in Chicken Pox, they are red in the beginning, new blisters keep forming every 2-3 days and the blisters fill up with fluid before bursting and crusting over. If you have all these symptoms then you must consult your physician
